Learning Lincs aims to enable all Third Sector organisations to play a full role within the Workforce Development arena.
Learning Lincs aims to support Third Sector organisations and groups in meeting the learning, skills and development needs of their staff, volunteers and board members.
Membership of the Learning Lincs Project is provided without charge.
The purpose of the Learning Lincs Project is to:
- Provide a mutually beneficial structure for Third Sector learning providers and users.
- Promote co-operation and collaboration within the Third Sector and with other sectors.
- Co-ordinate provision within the Workforce Development arena to avoid unnecessary duplication and improve the quality and choice of provision for the learner.
- Widen participation in lifelong learning, basics skills uptake and commitment to the Skills Pledge.
- Seek formal recognition of the Third Sector as a channel for participation, involvement and consultation in the arena of Workforce Development.
- Ensure the Third Sector has the opportunity to make an effective contribution to national and local targets for learning and skills and Workforce Development.
Our mission and aims:
- Work together to support members in accessing funding and developing the skills of their staff, volunteers and board members.
- To enable all Third Sector organisations to play a full role within the Workforce Development arena.
- To act as a strategic development body and influencing voice for the providers and users of effective Workforce Development Provision.
- To assist members to increase the range and amount of learning, skills and support that is available to individuals and groups through collaborative working.
- Members to share identification of need and co-ordination of provision and to improve the quality and amount of provision within the Workforce Development sector in an open, inclusive, accountable and representative manner.
