The aim of Involving Lincs is to provide a County Consortium supporting co-operation between Voluntary and Community Sector organisations providing infrastructure that supports the VCS in Lincolnshire.

There are two categories of Membership of the Consortium – Full and Associate.

Full Membership carries carry voting rights and will be open to all voluntary and community sector organisations offering infrastructure support to the VCS across the county of Lincolnshire.

Associate Membership of the association will be by invitation only, which will be offered to agencies or organisations that have an interest in VCS infrastructure development in Lincolnshire. Associate Membership shall carry no voting rights but Associate Members will be invited to attend and speak at meetings of the consortium.

All applications for membership and allocation of membership category will be subject to the approval of the Consortium who has an absolute discretion as to the acceptance of any organisation as a member and the allocation of their membership category without giving any reason therefore.

Members of the Consortium will by resolution of their own Council or governing body authorise a person, such as their Chief Officer, to act as its representative on the Consortium and at any meeting, having first declared its representations in writing to the Consortium. In addition each member organisation shall appoint a deputy to attend in the place of their nominated representative as from time to time required.
