Consortium Projects
Information Communications Technology (ICT) is now an integral part of our lives. Email and social websites now form part of every teenager’s daily routine and many commercial ventures rely heavily on ICT many now trade solely on-line). The voluntary sector is no different and a few minutes browsing the Web will reveal numerous organisations advertising their presence.
However, voluntary organisations are often unable to make the most of current technology, with their ability to properly engage with large sectors of the community hampered. In light of this, Involving Lincs, the Lincolnshire Voluntary Sector Consortium. created the post of ICT Development Officer in order to promote the use of ICT in the voluntary sector.
Although this post has come to an end, information on how organisations can better utilise ICT to improve their presence and to work ‘smarter’ is still available through the Development Worker's website at http://community.lincolnshire.gov.uk/involvinglincs
Work on ICT development will continue through the Involving Lincs ICT Steering Group.
If you have an interest in ICT Developmemt and would like to become involved in the ICT Steering Group, please contact katy.r@southlincscvs.org.uk for an informal discussion.
